HOW TO KEEP COOL WITH PARTY IDEAS
By Patty Sachs
Try these festive and frosty
party ideas to keep cool all summer:
-
Always
wear a party hat!...That is all!
-
Or,
wear an official party hangover ice bag.
-
Wear Polo,
501, NIKE, Tommy Hilfiger, Armani ..You'll at least look cool.
-
Instead of
coffee breaks, take tea breaks...lengthy, frequent Long Island Iced Tea
breaks. Then you won't even notice how hot it is.
-
Have a
sing-along of such sub-zero songs as “Frosty, the Snowman,” “Let it Snow,”
and “I Only Have 'Ice' for You.”
-
Play the
tunes of Kool and the Gang, Ice T, and
Ice Cube.
-
Hire a
crew of professional “confetti tossers” for the day. They will not only make
the place look festive...they will also create a nice, cool breeze.
-
Fill a tub
with ice cubes and break every hour to bob for cubes.
-
Instead of
Muzak...play Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Wynton Marsalis, Kenny G...or any
other cool jazz artists.
-
If you must
be outdoors... always, I repeat, always stay under a canapé.
-
Disguise
yourself as a cucumber…you know how darn cool they are.
-
Use this
party pickup line..."What's an “ice” person like you doing in a place
like this?" Sorry, but it IS an ice breaker and you ARE guaranteed to
get the cold shoulder.
-
Snack on
Frosty O’s ™ topped with Cool Whip™
-
Order an
ice sculpture in the shape of a chair...sit in it all day and at five
o'clock fill it with fruit punch and begin the after work party.
These ideas have been tested by a
random group of party experts and the consensus is that hot weather celebrating
is not only fun...but also it can be downright...chillin'.

On! And, Stay Cool!
