Here’s a song, for Tom and for Loretta

To celebrate their 50 years

Friends and family gather here together

To raise their glasses in a cheer

Tom cut in, to get to know Loretta

With that dance they changed their lives

Two years later, at the church St. Mary’s

They were joined as husband and wife.

Married! Honeymooners that train carried.

Then to life in Jersey, sharing

And they never roamed,

From that fair state, it was so great.

They both loved to see the latest movies.

Listening to the big band sounds

Tom was loyal, big fan of "ole blue eyes"

The music made the world go round

Barbizon, was home to chic Loretta

She always donned a big chapeau

For his love of Notre Dame and football

Tom called her "Lou" but that didn’t go

Loved the "Shore" when they felt rambly

Now Palm City’s home, with Murphy, too

They’re smiling through

Now sweet Jake, their grandson, is a treasure

Life gets richer by the day

So to all these fifty years together
